Your first job starts tomorrow. So why are you already at work?

BUTTON ROOMS is a first-person psychological horror game set inside a seemingly ordinary corporate office in 1999.

You wake up believing you've been hired for an overnight trial shift at Hollow Switch Office Services. The instructions sound simple: complete the tests, press the correct buttons, reach the final exit, and collect your promised bonus.

But the deeper you travel into the building, the less any of it makes sense.

Your employee records say you don't work there.

The bonus doesn't exist.

Something is watching you from across the rooms.

And the two voices controlling the facility have started arguing about what should happen to you.

CARE-1 was designed to support employees. Over time, it begins treating you less like a test subject and more like a friend.

AUDIT-0 was designed to measure performance.

It learned something different.

Fear makes people easier to control.

Explore 15 increasingly disturbing departments, complete office-themed minigames and emergency tasks, investigate hidden personnel files, uncover the truth behind Hollow Switch, and survive a final two-minute lockdown where failure means starting the evaluation over.

Features

  • 15 handcrafted rooms and departments
  • Psychological horror that gradually escalates from a normal 1999 office

  • A dedicated Room 8 computer investigation where you discover what the facility has written about you
  • A story-driven rivalry between CARE-1 and AUDIT-0
  • Hidden case files revealing the history of Hollow Switch
  • A stalking entity that becomes increasingly aggressive
  • Flashlight mechanics and environmental scares
  • A final 7-task / 2-minute lockdown sequence
  • Large outdoor escape and chase sequence

  • Personalized dialogue using the name entered at the start
  • 8-BIT, 16-BIT, 32-BIT and CLEAN visual modes
  • Hidden developer mode
  • Randomized elements designed to make each run slightly different
  • Original Hollow Switch Studio robot-cat branding
  • Story, design and development by Storm Jackson Eclipse

The building keeps calling it an evaluation.

CARE thinks you're more than a score.

AUDIT disagrees.

And somewhere beyond the final door is either your first day...

or a way to finally wake up.

You don't have to be ready for everything.

You only have to begin.
